With this approach you can use Lightroom Classic's features to assist you in deciding what photos you wish to feature on your web site (star ratings, keywords, smart collections) and how you want to present them (sorting within collections).
Furthermore, if you feel that you will want to make changes to the photos on this page (add to, delete from or re-edit photos), these changes can be applied to your Adobe Portfolio web site with the proverbial "click of a button".
Note: the only way others can access photos on Adobe Cloud is if you elect to share them.
Let's look at an overview of "Sync"
Adobe Lightroom is an ecosystem consisting of various applications for desktop computers (Lightroom Classic & Lightroom), tablets & phones (Lightroom) coupled with photo storage on the Adobe Cloud... more specifically, your personal portion of the Adobe Cloud.
We all know that when working with Lightroom Classic our photo files are stored locally on our desktop computer or an external hard drive. In the other versions of Lightroom, photos are stored on the Adobe Cloud.
Syncing selected collections from Lightroom Classic to the Adobe Cloud allows all of these applications to have access to your designated collections of photos on your desktop computer. It also allows Adobe Portfolio to have access as well.
What does this mean in practice?
Any changes (edits, adds, deletes) you make on any Collection in Lightroom Classic will be reflected on ALL of your devices as well as your Adobe Portfolio web site.
Pretty cool!
How do I make this happen?
